If you got the game in a bundle and without a manual, use the customize keys feature of the game to see what all the keys do (and change them if you like).

Always customize your mech! It's almost always possible to get more heat sinks, or armor, or weapons, or some better combination by editing your mech.

MW2 Missions

Many of these hints & tips are answers to questions I received in email.

Wolfclan; approx. level8? stuck on mission where i must find the Hermione Dropship, inspect it to download important information and then destroy it. I cannot find the legendary dropship; i have wounded and followed enemy mechs; i have killed all mechs; i have followed NAV sequence around twice ... but still no Hermione dropship.

The drop-ship is there, but the visibility sucks so you have to walk a bit to see it. Go to the farthest NAV point as instructed and then head DUE NORTH. Zoom your view to max and pan back and forth until you see the horizon change. Don't try and use the satellite.

Golden Spade -- the level that you are to inspect the Palace and destroy it; I cannot destroy the force field surrounding it. Do you have any ideas or have accomplished this??
You must destroy the force-field generator to turn off the sheild. Head NORTH-WEST from the blue dome and you will come to the generator. There are several mechs to the west which will accost you, but the generator is still NW (NE of the guards).

Plum Wine -- I need to destroy the vehicles containing the high command personnel and also inspect the building the munitions are contained in. I have inspected the building, and destroyed all of the vehicles in the one convoy I found, but I'm always told that the dropship has taken off and the high command personnel have escaped - "Mission Failed". Arrg! Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for your input!
This mission is hard. There are TWO drop ships and TWO sets of personnel which you must nail. After you realize this, get LR weapons like PPC and LRM & SRM and just move fast to nail both command vehicle convoys, the closest one first, then the other one further out. Come back later to inspect the buildings. Mechs in the area are light, make sure to take them out from a distance so you aren't distracted by them when you are trying to nail the vehicles. If you are still stuck and starting to hate the level designers, use the GANKEM code to nail the mechs and just race after the vehciles.

Destroy Orbital Platform -- I can't seem to be able to jump into the ship, I can jump into the hole in the ship but I hit a side and stop foward movement which means that I can't move to land in the ship, and when my jets run out I fall back out the hole that I came in. Any info or suggetions on this would be great.
Two words: Infinite Jumpjuice. Or any other cheat. Hehe. This mission sucked and I couldn't really complete it. Even if you get inside there are mechs and turrets waiting to roast you. Only god (mode) will save you!

GBL Missions

Underwater Level -- My problem is that in GBL, the underwater level, Thun, seems excessively difficult. Do you have any strategy suggestions for this level?

This level is very difficult. I had to cheat. I used PALEX to get rid of some of the mechs so I could make it thru.
